In Act 1 of Baldur's Gate 3, the Tieflings need your help. There is a divide within the Druid Grove between Tieflings and Druids. The Druids want to cast out any potential danger and will go so far as to capture a young Tiefling child, Arabelle.

Upon meeting Kagha for the first time, she will be threatening Arabelle for stealing the Idol of Silvanus. There are only a few choices you can make here to save Arabelle. If you choose the wrong one, Arabelle will die at the hands of Kagha's snake.

Arabelle's Parents

This all starts by bumping into a group of Tieflings fighting with some Druids down the stairs to the ritual. Arabelle's parents will be demanding to have their child back. One of the Druids will turn into a bear and threaten them, causing the parents to run away.

By speaking with Arabelle's parents, you can initiate the quest to Save Arabelle. If you successfully bring Arabelle back alive, the parents will reward you with a Cherished Locket.

This is an amulet that grants the wearer the spell Dancing Lights. Dancing Lights will create small balls of light to illuminate a dark area.

Any other ending to this quest will not result in acquiring the locket.

How To Stop Kagha

Kagha is pretty adamant about protecting her people from the Goblins no matter the cost. With different skills, you can stop Kagha from ultimately killing Arabelle.

As you talk to her, you will find multiple options for ways to convince her she should not hurt the child. You should choose the dialogue option that your character has the highest stats in.

You can check your character's stats by pressing I to open your Character menu.

Select "Detailed View" at the bottom left of this window to take a closer look at how many points are in each skill.

If you attack Kagha, you will begin a fight with all the Druids in that room. You will not have to fight the rest of the Druids outside, though. By initiating an attack with Kagha, the Tieflings and Druids will go to war outside.

Successfully killing Kagha and her crew will result in the Tieflings winning. You will find bodies of Druids scattered around the grove. This is a win-lose situation, though, because if you attack Kagha, Arabelle will die.

If you choose the option, Keep Silent, Say Nothing, Kagha will kill Arabelle.

Dialogue Skill Checks

When you speak with Kagha, there are only three options for convincing. Detect Thoughts, Persuasion, and Nature. Successfully rolling these options will stop Kagha from murdering Arabelle. Arabelle will be allowed to leave and run back to her parents.

If those options do not work, there is still a chance. If your player has the Nature skill, they can take notice of the snake during the cutscene, and in doing so, more dialogue options will appear. You can then use Intimidation or Persuasion to further attempt to stop Kagha.

If your party has Inspiration points, gained from playing the game loyal to the character's ideologies, you can use those points to re-roll.

If the character you are playing has Guidance, you can use this spell to chance a re-roll.
