Attempting to defeat Mega Tyranitar will prove to be a tough battle, requiring the help and cooperation of other experienced Trainers. To be safe, you'll want to attempt this at least three to five people in your Raid group.

Even with a group of this size, ensure you're coming to this Raid with a group of powerful Pokemon to use. This will help your team and make sure that you're entering this Mega Raid with sufficient firepower.

On top of bringing powerful Pokemon to this Mega Raid, make sure you're Mega Evolving or Primal Reverting one of your Pokemon if possible.

This will increase the effectiveness of specific attack types while these Pokemon are on the battlefield.

Mega Tyranitar: Strengths And Weaknesses

Using Pokemon that take advantage of Mega Tyranitar's weaknesses is key to your overall success in this Raid.

With resistances to Normal, Flying, Poison, Ghost, Fire, Dark, and Psychic-type attacks, they will deal significantly less damage than other types. It's in your and your group's best interest if you avoid these specific types of attacks.

Mega Tyranitar has a double-weakness to Fighting-type attacks, and single-weaknesses to Ground, Bug, Steel, Water, Grass, and Fairy-type attacks. With this in mind, the use of Fight-type attacks is optimal when it comes to taking on Mega Tyranitar.

Put your team of Pokemon together with Same Type Attack Bonus in mind, increasing the damage that your Pokemon deal.

To make sure that your Pokemon benefit from this mechanic, use those that have attacks that match their types.
