If you're an avid Twitter user, you'll no doubt be aware of Elon Musk's latest decision to try and drive the entire platform into the ground. For those that don't, Musk has decided to completely remove the Twitter branding from the platform and replace it with the symbol "X", something that he tried to do with PayPal a while back before people around him told him it was a stupid idea. Now Musk doesn't have those people, he's finally realising his weird dream of a website labelled "X".

It's pretty crummy for Twitter users who use the site on a regular basis, as it's another sign that Musk is committed to driving the platform into an early grave, but there's a certain group of fans out there that are living their best lives right now. Given how much this new branding revolves around the latter "X", Kingdom Hearts fans have been out in droves making all kinds of jokes, referencing members of Organization 13, and changing their profile pictures to an image of the same hooded figure on masse.

If you don't know what's going on because you haven't intensely studied the lore of Kingdom Hearts, the letter "X" is pretty intertwined with the series, as it's used in the name of every member of Organization 13 as well as in the title of some games. There's a lot more meaning behind the symbol of course, but I can't go into it here without also going into the entire history of the series. As much as I would love to, there's only so much time in one day.

Elon Musk probably expected a lot of backlash over this rebrand, even he's not that dim. What he probably didn't expect was an army of passionate Kingdom Hearts fans joining forces to go out of their way to mock the entire situation with memes. Just take this article as a warning that if you see anyone change their profile picture to a mysterious hooded figure on a white background, chances are you've got a Kingdom Hearts fan on your hands.
