Legendary items in Diablo 4 are essential for putting together your build. Legendary Aspects unlocked on your Codex of Power can be slotted into pieces of Rare equipment, allowing you to adapt your build and gear as you progress. Unique items are even rarer than Legendaries, and provide even more powerful effects that can't be transfered to other items.

Due to their rarity, they aren't often essential in most builds, but if you have a certain Unique, like the Fists of Fate, your build can gain a great deal of additional power. Below, we'll take a look at how to get the Fists of Fate, and what they do.

Fists Of Fate Effect Explained

fists of fate unique item description

The Fists of Fate is a Unique Glove that can be used by any class. It has the following special effect:

Your attacks randomly deal 1% to [200-300]% of their normal damage.

The Fists of Fate basically randomize the damage value of your attacks between one and 200-300, depending on how the item's stats roll. This can either drastically increase or decrease the damage of your attacks, but over time it will average out to around 150 percent at a maximum roll.

Based on this average alone, the Fists of Fate provide a massive boost to your damage, at the cost of sometimes reducing the damage of your attacks. This item works best in builds with high hit counts, like Barbarian's Whirlwind build or the Rogue's Rapid Fire build.

A look at the Avarice World Boss in Diablo 4

Like other Unique items, the Fists of Fate drop at World Tiers 3 and 4. This means you'll need to at least complete the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon before you even have a chance to get the Fists of Fate.

The Fists of Fate can drop for any class.

The best way to start searching for the Fists of Fate is to complete any activity that has a higher chance of dropping Legendary items. Nightmare Dungeons and Helltide events are the two best choices, but Tree of Whispers objectives will allow you to (sometimes) target Glove items specifically, which can increase your chances of getting the Fists of Fate instead of a random other Unique.

World Bosses are also a good choice, but are limited by their spawn time. Overall, remember to keep in mind that dropping any specific Unique item will take time, and ultimately comes down to luck.
