The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom introduces a wide array of devices that are powered by a unique type of energy. To store more energy, you will need more wells, which require you to gather Zonaite Ore and visit a Forge Construct.

With enough ore, you can purchase Crystallized Charges, which can then be exchanged for an Energy Well. If you are looking to upgrade your Energy Cell but can't find a Forge Construct, we are here to help. In this guide, we are going to take a look at where you can find every Forge Construct in Hyrule.

Forge Construct Vs. Crystal Refinery

Before diving into the Forge Construct locations, let's take a quick look at Crystal Refinery. Forge Constructs are areas where you trade your Zonaite Ore in for Crystallized Charges, while a Crystal Refinery is where you bring these charges to increase your energy held in the Energy Cell.

There are only two Crystal Refineries found in Hyrule. The first one is located on the Great Sky Island, while the other is located just north of Lookout Landing. Of the two, it's easier to reach the Lookout Landing location, as you just need to run north for a short distance rather than traveling through a cave.

Sky Island Forge Construct

Forge Constructs are primarily located underground, however, there is one that you can find on the Great Sky Island. This Forge Construct can be found within the Mining Cave.

To get here, teleport to the Room of Awakening and exit outside. Right as you get outside, take a right and jump off the island. On the way down, you should pass a small island that has a pond.

Drop all the way to the ground, where you will see a small cave opening that has rails leading into it. From here, you just need to follow the cave for a bit until you reach the Forge Construct. During the tutorial portion of the game, you will pass through here.

Forge Constructs In The Depths

The remaining ten Forge Constructs are all found in the Depths. Each Construct is located at a mine; you won't have to wander the Depths in search of one little shop.

Forge Constructs will need to be interacted with before you can purchase their items for sale. To do this, simply walk up to a Construct and interact with it.

If there are enemies nearby, like the Yiga Clan, you may need to clear out their forces first.

Below, you can find each Forge Construct in the Depths, separated by its associated mine location.

Abandoned Hebra Mine

  • Associated Surface Location: Rito Village
  • Closest Chasm: Rito Village Chasm

The Abandoned Hebra Mine lies directly under Rito Village, with a chasm dropping directly into the closed-off area. Getting here might be a bit of a trek, but through the side adventure Master Kohga Of The Yiga Clan, you will eventually wind up here for a battle.

Once you've completed this side adventure, the area will be safe, and you can interact with the nearby Forge Construct.

Abandoned Kara Kara Mine

  • Associated Surface Location: Kara Kara Bazaar
  • Closest Chasm: Birida Lookout Chasm

There are not many chasms in the Gerudo Desert, so to locate the Abandoned Kara Kara Mine, you will need to head north a bit to the Gerudo Highlands. The Birida Lookout Chasm is a rather large hole in the ground, that will drop you off north of the abandoned mine.

Abandoned Gerudo Mine

  • Associated Surface Location: Gerudo Town
  • Closest Chasm: Birida Lookout Chasm

To find the Abandoned Gerudo Mine, you can go through the same chasm you took to find the Abandoned Kara Kara Mine. Rather than heading south with a slight east curve, just head south until you find the Abandoned Gerudo Mine.

Great Abandoned Central Mine

  • Closest Chasm: Great Plateau North Chasm

This is one of the largest mines in Hyrule, and is located right under the Great Plateau just south of Hyrule Field.

To get here, you will need to climb onto the top layer of the plateau and hop through the Great Plateau North Chasm. There is also an East Chasm that you can enter, located to the east of the mine; this entrance is also on top of the plateau.

Abandoned Lurelin Mine

  • Associated Surface Location: Lurelin Village
  • Closest Chasm: Meda Mountain Chasm

Next, we have the Abandoned Lurelin Mine Forge Construct. Similar to the Gerudo Desert, there are not many chasms here, making it a bit of a hassle to reach, especially if you are low on supplies.

If you do decide to venture to this mine, we suggest heading through the Meda Mountain Chasm, from here, you will need to navigate the terrain south until you reach the Abandoned Lurelin Mine.

Abandoned Kakariko Mine

  • Associated Surface Location: Karkariko Village
  • Closest Chasm: East Hill Chasm

As the name suggests, the Abandoned Kakariko Mine is located right under Kakariko Village. Thankfully, there is a chasm slightly north of this mine, making it easy to reach. The East Hill Chasm is located on a hill to the north of Kakariko Village. Once in the Depths, just head south to the Abandoned Kakariko Mine.

Abandoned Hateno Mine

  • Closest Chasm: Naydra Snowfield Chasm

The Abandoned Hateno Mine is found under Hateno Village but unfortunately, there is no nearby chasm. Instead, you will need to head north to the Naydra Snowfield Chasm. From here, it's a straight shot south to the Abandoned Hateno Mine.

Abandoned Lanayru Mine

  • Associated Surface Location: Zora Domain
  • Closest Chasm: Chasm Under Zora's Domain

The Abandoned Lanayru Mine lies under the Zora Domain, with a chasm leading to the area, similar to the mine found under Rito Village.

To find the Chasm Under Zora's Domain, head to the main bridge leading to the Zora Domain. Under this bridge, you will see a giant waterfall that acts as a wall leading up to the Zora Domain. This waterfall has a secret cave hidden behind it, called the Cave Under Zora's Domain. Inside, you can find the aptly named Chasm Under Zora's Domain.

Abandoned Tarrey Mine

  • Associated Surface Location: Tarrey Town
  • Closest Chasm: East Akkala Plains Chasm

Tarrey Town occupies a little island, which means that the Abandoned Tarrey Mine is also located on a little island. Getting here is rather straightforward; just head through the East Akkala Plains Chasm and go south until you find a tiny bit of ground that connects to the mine.

Abandoned Eldin Mine

  • Associated Surface Location: Goron City
  • Closest Chasm: Death Mountain Chasm

Lastly, we have the Forge Construct located in the Abandoned Eldin Mine. This location is incredibly hot; if you don't have armor with Flame Resistance, you will burn and take damage.

Prior to heading here, we recommend completing at least the first portion of Yunobo of Goron City, which takes you into the Death Mountain Chasm. Once you are in the Depths here, you can stray off course and find the Abandoned Eldin Mine and the Forge Construct in the area.
