Apart from the main story in Dave The Diver, you'll find many side missions that will take you to specific locations inside the Blue Hole. Apart from giving you money, these missions can also give you different charms, decorations for your restaurant, and even new recipes for your customers.
The person who gives you the task will most likely also give you a hint to find the required location, but Finding The Baby Whale is one of the few tasks without any hints. Even after you find the whale, you still have to escort it to the top.
How To Get Finding The Baby Whale Mission
During one of your early dives in Dave The Diver, you'll see a giant whale swimming past you but it won't do anything. This means that the process of you getting this task has started, but you still have a long way to go. The first thing you have to do is reach the part of the main story where you get upgraded gloves.
This happens after you make the Sea People Language Translator and escort the princess to the depths. At one point, your path will be blocked by giant boulders and you'll have to upgrade your gloves to remove the nail from the boulders on top. Get to the Sea People village after this part is done.
When you dive into the waters after finishing the above main quest, the big whale will randomly appear again.
Keep in mind that you have to dive from the surface and not teleport to the village using the mirror.
The whale will make some crying noises, and when you call Ellie after getting to the surface, she'll mention that you have to find its baby. You can only find the Baby Whale during the morning or afternoon dives.
How To Find The Baby Whale
To find the Baby Whale, you'll have to roughly reach a depth of around 70 to 75 meters on the left side of the ocean. When you reach the required area, you'll see some white arcs on your screen. When you hear the whale for the first time, there'll also be a dialogue between Dave and Ellie.
After that, you simply have to go in the direction of the white arcs until you find a wall blocked by boulders with a nail inside them. Remove the nail and enter the cave to find the baby. You'll have to pet it a bunch of times to make it trust you and then escort it back to the top.
Escorting The Baby Whale
The whale will follow you out of the cave and you'll get a meter at the top of your screen marking the destination. Although, you'll find a lot of enemies in your path as you try to reach the location. You'll have to fight enemies in the following order: Great Barracuda - Lionfish - Shark.
Once you get to the top, you'll see four more sharks appearing but they will be defeated by the giant whale. After this, you'll automatically be taken back to the boat where you'll see a cool display and get a decoration for your restaurant.
