<![CDATA[Pokemon Sleep Is Changing Shiny Colours And It Could Have Huge Repercussions]]> Pokemon Sleep is a weird game. After such a long wait, it’s finally here and all I have to say about it is, yep, it’s definitely here. It measures your sleep and gamifies your health, but I’m not entirely sure it’s actually a game. I have a lot of questions about what the game is doing with my sleep data, why Pokemon Go needs that data if it’s connected, and what the point of it all is, but I risk getting too philosophical for this lighthearted opinion feature.

<![CDATA[How To Feed Snorlax In Pokemon Sleep]]> The premise of Pokemon Sleep starts off pretty simple. You research how Pokemon sleep by turning your real-life sleep schedule into in-game rewards. The game itself builds on the premise by assigning you a special Snorlax to take care of each week that becomes the focal point of your research.

<![CDATA[My Husband Keeps Ruining My Pokemon Sleep Research With His Snoring]]> I am not a big mobile gamer, but what I definitely am is easily sucked into the latest trends. Pokemon Go was the mobile game I played the longest, only losing interest after a good few years as new features were added and updates proved overwhelming, while my passion for Peridot fizzled out in mere days. The latest to hook me is Pokemon Sleep, a game I’ll gladly embrace as a serial nap-taker.

In Pokemon Sleep, you can add all your fellow Sleep-playing pals for fun and profit. But how do you add them? And what are the benefits of doing so, other than the momentary rush of pride from having people in your life who share your love for Snorlax's favorite pastime?

<![CDATA[How To Get Each Sleep Type In Pokemon Sleep]]> As with most Pokemon games, the idea is that you catch 'em all in Pokemon Sleep, or at least capture as many photos of sleeping Pokemon as you can so to fill out your Sleep Style Dex. During a sleep session, the app tracks how much movement and noise you make while sleeping and will give you a Sleep Type based on the data.

Whatever your case may be, it might seem like Pokemon Sleep is too much of a hassle to attune to your preferences.

There are real perks to having a dedicated detector of your personal sleep patterns, and besides, it's cute, and that's what really counts. <![CDATA[Pokemon Sleep Is Asking The Impossible: Getting 8 Hours Rest]]> Pokemon Sleep isn't a Pokemon game in the traditional sense. However, that hasn't stopped it from being one of the hardest in the series for some. As players are sharing online, Pokemon Sleep is expecting its users to get 8.5 hours of rest a night - something that's an impossibility for so many of us. I mean, who has the time?

<![CDATA[How To Use The Pokemon GO Plus+ With Your Smartphone In Pokemon Sleep]]> Prior to the launch of Pokemon Sleep, the Pokemon GO Plus+ accessory was primarily known for two things: its connectivity to Pokemon GO, and its patently ridiculous name. Since the Pokemon GO Plus device already existed, Nintendo figured the wisest course of action to separate this hardware refresh was to double down on the word. Classically Nintendo.

Think of it this way - plenty of sleeping apps exist that charge monthly subscriptions for a more premium experience. This is the only one with a Pikachu.

<![CDATA[You Have To Permanently Break The New Pokemon Go Plus + To Turn Off Vibration]]> The unfortunately named Pokemon Go Plus + is a new accessory designed to enhance both Pokemon Go and the new sleep tracking game, Pokemon Sleep. Like its predecessor, the Pokemon Go Plus, the Poke Ball-shaped Plus + allows you to passively catch Pokemon in Pokemon Go without the burden of having to actually play the game. Its autocatch feature will automatically throw normal Poke Balls at wild Pokemon, even if your phone is in your pocket. It’s basically like trading your fishing rod in for a tugboat with a big net behind it that scoops up every creature that crosses your path. Remember when Pokemon were friends you would form a lifelong bond with? We let machines mass-catch them for us now. What did they do to us?

<![CDATA[Pokemon Sleep Won’t Actually Help You Sleep Better]]> I’ve been thinking a lot about Pokemon Sleep since my colleague Eric Switzer went hands-on with the upcoming app, which means he went to a sleepover with a bunch of other journalists. Pokemon Sleep is essentially a sleep-tracking app with gamified elements, in the vein of similar Pokemon games like Pokemon Go, which encourages daily walking, and Pokemon Smile, which encourages children to brush their teeth regularly.

<![CDATA[Hands-On With Pokemon Sleep: They Finally Combined My Two Favorite Things]]> The Pokemon Company invited me to a sleepover this week to try out Pokemon Sleep, its upcoming sleep tracking game for mobile. I already spent practically all of my waking hours thinking about Pokemon, so why shouldn’t I think about them in my sleep too? Pokemon Sleep is the latest attempt to gamify everyday life with Pokemon following the success of Pokemon Go, which we all know and used to love and now kinda like maybe, and Pokemon Smile, a toothbrushing app that teaches kids how to brush the Pokemon way, I assume.

<![CDATA[Pokemon Sleep Seems To Be Launching Next Month, But What Even Is It?]]> Who came up with the idea for Pokemon Sleep? Which developer, executive, or cleaner at the Nintendo offices plucked up the courage to say, “You know what team, I think we should make a game that you play in your sleep.” And why wasn’t it shot down immediately? It’s an incredibly strange premise, and the length of time it’s taken to develop is even stranger.

<![CDATA[Pokemon We Want To See In Pokemon Sleep]]> Get ready to rise and shine with Pokemon Sleep. This Poke-app is designed to help insomniac trainers achieve a better bedtime by encouraging and tracking their sleep. By attaining a good night's rest, you will be able to witness and study Pokemon with unique napping styles. Though this might sound simple, there is nothing more important than catching some Pokemon Z's. However, it does make you wonder: which Pokemon should partake in this app's sleepy time?

<![CDATA[Why Does Niantic Want Our Personal Data So Badly?]]> Pokemon Sleep has just been re-revealed at yesterday’s Pokemon Presents after four years of radio silence, and to no one's surprise, it’s an app to monitor your sleep. There is, of course, a game aspect to it, otherwise what would the point be? In the game, you’re on an island with a Snorlax and a professor specialising in PokeNaps. To play, just go to sleep – the app captures, records and analyses your sleep patterns, and then categorises it to decide what kind of Pokemon you attract in the morning, and apparently there are more functions that use your sleep data coming.

<![CDATA[Who Is The Poke Ball Plus Plus Even For?]]> The Poke Ball Plus Plus might be the worst named gaming peripheral in the history of gaming peripherals. Just a simple Poke Ball Plus 2 would have sufficed, or even a Poke Ball Squared or something. What will they call the next one, a Plus Plus Plus? It’s got me talking about it, I suppose. The little disc functions with Pokemon Sleep, which is finally coming out(!), acting as an alarm but not a clock, and singing you lullabies in Pikachu’s voice to lull you to sleep. It’s a weird pitch, but the device’s Pokemon Go functionality may sway some players.
