There are tons of ingredients across the many dishes that can be made in Dave the Diver, however, salt is a rather common ingredient that you'll need to prepare a number of important dishes. These dishes include expensive specialty items that can only be made once using a part of a boss monster.

The Clione Queen Soup, Steamed Wolf Eel, and Goblin Shark Belly Roast all require salt in order to be cooked. On top of these money making specialty dishes, salt is also a necessary component of the Seagrapes Jellyfish Sushi that you'll need to make to impress Vincent the critic. Thankfully, you won't have to dive too deep to find it.

Wait to prepare the Goblin Shark Belly Roast for when the Storm Shark Party comes into town to make some extra dough.

Where To Find Salt

A cooking ingredients list from a post-dive with salt highlighted in Dave the Diver.

Like many other ingredients, you can fetch salt out of the red cooking pots found throughout the depths of the Blue Hole. While beginner players may find these crockpots largely useless, the items found within become very important as you unlock research recipes in Bancho Sushi.

More complicated dishes that require multiple components often sell for much higher price tags than your run-of-the-mill sushi rolls. Consequently, players who wish to maximize their income as soon as possible will want to crack open as many crockpots as they can find. On top of salt, cooking pots will also yield Miso, Black Vinegar, Tumeric, Soy Sauce, Sesame Seed, and more.

Cooking pots exist at every depth in the Blue Hole. Explore the entirety of the depths in your dives to return with the most dispatch and cooking pot ingredients.

Unfortunately, the crockpots under the sea can drop so many different types of items that you may have to open quite a few just to get your hands on a couple of doses of salt. Don't lose heart, though. Dave the Diver is a game of underwater exploration, after all, so you'll be sure to come across all kinds of interesting side quests in your search of the all-important saltiest ingredient.
