There are numerous tasks in Dave the Diver that will consume your time. From serving customers at Bancho Sushi, to tending to your vegetable farm, to diving for rare fish, the game is chock-full of things to do. Additional gameplay and missions will become available once you discover the Sea People Village.
In the Sea People Village, you will have access to the Game Parlor while you aim to build up trust with the villagers. This is also where you will find Junak, the game master. He offers minigames such as card matching and a shell game, plus one involving a precariously pried-open shark jaw.
The Shark Teeth Minigame Rules
In the Shark Teeth minigame, the shark jaw opens up and will briefly display a trick tooth, also called the Shark Cavity.
You and Junak go back and forth pressing down on the teeth along the jaw, and can choose to press one, two, or three teeth at a time. Whoever presses on the Shark Cavity first makes the shark jaw clamp down on their hand, losing the game.
You can bet 10, 50, or 100 Bei, which is the currency for the Sea People. You are able to play this game a limited amount of times per day, which is until either your or Junak's fingers hurt too much to continue.
How To Win The Shark Teeth Minigame
The goal of this minigame is to force Junak to press the trick tooth first, therefore winning the game and the portion of Bei that Junak bet. You can play the system a little bit to make it easier to win, rather than hoping for the best.
You should aim to push down the fifth tooth before the Shark Cavity. If you do, no matter how many teeth Junak decides to press on, you can then choose the amount you’ll need to win.
At four teeth left before the Shark Cavity, if Junak chooses to press one tooth, you can then choose to press down on three teeth. This would force Junak to press the Shark Cavity on his next turn. Similarly, if Junak chooses to press on three teeth, you can choose to press down on just one. In any case, your victory is assured.
If you are having trouble remembering where the Shark Cavity is, you could — quite literally — hover your finger over the tooth on your computer screen.
Once you master it, the Shark Teeth minigame is a great way to earn Bei in the Sea People Village each time you visit.
