The game is a fun ride for fans of mythology and adventure, and until the inevitable sequel is released, this list includes more games you should play if you loved Immortals Fenyx Rising.

13 Sword And Fairy: Together Forever

Yue QingShu attacking monsters
  • Released: 2021
  • Developer: Softstar
  • Platform: PC, PS4, and PS5

Immortals Fenyx Rising: Myths of the Eastern Realm is the most enjoyable piece of downloadable content for the game. Instead of Greek mythology, it told a new story inspired by Chinese mythology with a new protagonist named Ku. It was a refreshing change from the main game and proved there is a lack of titles based on Chinese mythology.

However, Sword and Fairy: Together Forever, a Chinese-developed action RPG, should scratch that itch nicely for fans that wanted more from the Myths of the Eastern Realm expansion. Sword and Fairy is a beautiful game with a stunning world to explore. The combat is real-time and resembles action games like the Devil May Cry series. It also features two compelling protagonists in Yue QingShu, a female warrior and disciple of the Mingshu Sect, and Xiu Wu, a male fighter, deity, and demon hunter who forms a pact with her.

12 Titan Quest

Fighting ancient monsters
  • Released: 2006
  • Developer: Iron Lore Entertainment
  • Platform: Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One

Titan Quest is a top-down action RPG in the vein of the Diablo series. Instead of the demonic underworld, Titan Quest is set in Ancient Greece with mythology as its backdrop. The classic Ray Harryhausen movies are an inspiration for the monster designs, and the world is packed with quests and lore to discover.

The game has been the recipient of four expansions, the first being The Immortal Throne, released in 2007. Ten years later, more content arrived for Titan Quest with the Ragnarok, Atlantis, and Eternal Embers expansions released in 2017, 2019, and 2021 respectively.

11 Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur Blacksmiths Forge
  • Released: 2012 and Re-Reckoning in 2020
  • Developer: 38 Studios, Big Huge Games, and Kaiko
  • Platform: PC, PS3, PS4, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One

If fans of Immortal Fenyx Rising are looking for another open-world RPG with colorful aesthetics and loveable characters, then look no further than Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Instead of Greek mythology, the game has a Tolkienesque fantasy setting.

The combat is real-time and comparable to action-adventure games like God of War and Devil May Cry. The class system has depth, and one can customize their classes and abilities to their liking. The story is well-told, and the world has many weird and wonderful characters in it to converse and gain quests. The visuals, while dated, still have an appealing aesthetic that appears reminiscent of the fantasy film Legend starring Tom Cruise and Tim Curry.

10 The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 Battle
  • Released: 2015
  • Developer: CD Projekt Red
  • Platform: PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One

The Witcher 3 is one of the most popular RPGs out there, and while more mature than Immortals, there are a lot of similarities between the two that fans will love. The Witcher universe offers a wide-open world for fans to explore that is rich with lore and fantastical beasts that take inspiration from Polish folklore.

Players take on the role of Geralt of Rivia as he travels the world defeating monsters, getting dragged into politics, and trying to save his adopted daughter Ciri. The great thing about this game is that the choices made by the player can affect the world and the outcomes of certain quests.

9 Dragon Age: Inquisition

  • Released: 2014
  • Developer: BioWare
  • Platform: PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One

Dragon Age: Inquisition is another good choice for those who love an open RPG world, with skill trees, action combat, fantasy monsters to defeat, and brilliant characters to interact with, and it also sees players take on the role of someone destined to save the world.

Once again, the game is much more mature than Immortals, but it still offers a lot of similarities for fans. However, rather than going it alone as Fenyx did, Inquisition sees the player go on their adventure with a band of unique cohorts to help them (and you can romance many of them too).

8 Hades

  • Released: 2018
  • Developer: Supergiant Games
  • Platform: macOS, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S

Compared to Immortals, Hades is very different in terms of gameplay mechanics. Hades is a rogue-like RPG with procedurally generated dungeons to explore and conquer rather than an open world like that in Immortals Fenyx Rising.

However, Hades has something else to offer that fans of Immortals will love - Greek mythology. Players take on the role of Zagreus, the son of Hades, as he attempts to leave the underworld and reach his relatives on Mount Olympus.

7 God Of War

God of War
  • Released: 2018
  • Developer: Santa Monica Games
  • Platform: PC and PS4

Though God of War has been a long-running series since 2005, the critically acclaimed 2018 reboot of the same name is better suited for fans of Immortals. The earlier titles in the series are firmly rooted in Greek mythology, but God of War 2018 is about Norse mythology.

Though a different mythos, God of War offers an expansive open world with brilliant story-telling and rich in Norse mythology fans of Immortals should love. Interestingly, players could recreate God of War's Kratos in Immortals.

6 Ni No Kuni Series

Ni No Kuni 2 Revenant Kingdom battle
  • Released: 2013 and 2018
  • Developer: Level-5
  • Platform: PC, PS3, PS4, and Switch

The Ni No Kuni titles fall into the same age category as Immortals, making them an ideal choice for a wide age range of people who love RPGs. Both titles in the series offer story-driven, fantastical worlds to explore with a protagonist accompanied by a group of like-minded companions.

The first title uses a familiar mechanic in battle, where you can recruit and use monsters to fight on your behalf, while the sequel uses creatures called Higgledies instead. Ni No Kuni 2 also features a kingdom-building feature to offer players a brand new experience.

5 Horizon Zero Dawn And Horizon Forbidden West

  • Released: 2017 and 2022
  • Developer: Guerilla Games
  • Platform: PC, PS4, and PS5

The critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel Horizon Forbidden West are two of the best PlayStation exclusives available. These stunning entries offer fans of the open-world action RPG genre an expansive world filled with lore and mystery.

Instead of mythological monsters in the vein of Harryhausen monster movies, the protagonist has to deal with giant mechanical monsters that dominate the land in this post-apocalyptic adventure. The Horizon games also share mechanical similarities to the Ubisoft formula in stealth and combat. However, the dynamically brilliant battles against the giant monsters take center stage. Many fights feel epic in a way that only predetermined set-pieces work. Defeating a rampaging giant takes quick thinking and strategy, providing a sense of triumph against overwhelming odds.

4 Assassin's Creed Valhalla

  • Released: 2020
  • Developer: Ubisoft
  • Platform: Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S

The game is more mature than Immortals, and as such, it has a much higher age rating, but the gaming experience is very similar to Immortals, so fans of this should love Valhalla. Players take on the role of Eivor as they take their clan to settle elsewhere as part of the Viking expansion, dealing with various conflicting groups of people as they travel around.

The game takes place in the fantastical world of Teyvat, where the player can switch between different characters utilizing different combat skills. The game also offers a multiplayer mode. Genshin Impact has a lot to offer to fans of Immortals, and thanks to updates and expansions will continue to stay fresh and offer hours of fun.

2 The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
  • Released: 2017
  • Developer: Nintendo
  • Platform: Switch and Wii U

One of the best titles ever released for the Nintendo Switch is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This title features a stunning expansive open world and gives little direction, and encourages players to explore the world around them at their own pace.

The main storyline is stirring and intriguing, but the side quests can equally reward players with good storylines and loot. This game has a lot in common with Immortals, so fans of one title are likely to love the other too.

1 Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Assassin's Creed Odyssey Kassandra
  • Released: 2018
  • Developer: Ubisoft
  • Platform: Luna, PC, PS4, Switch, Stadia, and Xbox One

As a game developed by the same studio, Immortals: Fenyx Rising and Assassin's Creed Odyssey share many similarities. Fenyx Rising plays like a junior version of Odyssey but is more accessible to younger audiences. Odyssey is more grounded in history, but on a mechanical level, the two are similar.

Odyssey has a different take on Greek mythology, but this is the perfect title to play if you enjoyed Immortals. It is much more expansive in its world and storyline, so there is lots of content to keep you busy until the sequel to Immortals drops.
