Trying to save your brother from the roster of Greek gods is no easy task, especially with the wide variety of enemies that Immortals Fenyx Rising throws in the way. To make it through, players will need a little help from the various gods that Fenyx will meet on their travels.

While they are integral to the gameplay, godly powers are not easy to come by and require some pretty intense strategy. Some will come to the player pretty quickly, being pushed right from the get-go, but the high damage hits will have to be earned.

6 Phosphor's Attack

Phosphor's attack

This power will unlock the trusty battle sidekick, Phosphor, a small phoenix that can help the player in both battle and puzzle-solving. With 17 different skins that each give the bird special powers, it's easy to see how Phosphor becomes one of the versatile tools in Fenyx's arsenal.

Unlocking him can be an early task and one that players should get to as soon as possible. To activate the ''Bolt From The Blue'' quest, pick up some ambrosia from the Valley Of Eternal Spring. Using the quest marker and radar to locate the start point, it's up to players to help the injured bird get back to health.

The upgrades for this power range from creating a cloak of invisibility to creating shockwaves. It might not be the most devastating attack but Phosphor definitely comes in handy the most throughout the game.

5 Herakles' Strength

Fenyx Rising

This power will give players all the raw power they need, lifting boulders above their head and manhandling enemies along the way. It also combined the ranged effect with increased strength making for a unique mechanic most games don't give up.

The first godly power players come across, players will get this before really getting out of the gates. Through the prologue, Fenyx will stumble across a Gorgon that has to be defeated. After winning the battle, the Bracers Of Herakles will be worn, allowing the power to be used.

Though the main use of this power will be picking up objects and throwing them at big enemies, later in the upgrade tree players will find they can pull enemies towards them or leap forward. This makes Herakles' Strength the most effective power for agility as well, moving across the battlefield effortlessly.

4 Athena's Dash

Athena's Dash is the boost everyone wants when fighting a mythological creature, one that allows Fenyx to shoot forward and damage anything in the demigod's path. The power will give the player five hits that deal 130 damage, all while stunning enemies.

Unlocking the power is as simple as heading to the River Styx Cistern, easily accessed through the Hall of the Gods. Each godly power that can be bought will cost the player six Coins of Charon, earned through the world puzzles that appear throughout the game.

The upgrades for Athena's Dash start with adding a deadly final blow to the charge, making sure that players get their money's worth every time they launch. The next step, Laser Immunity, helps with ranged attackers, while the power's final two upgrades provide a massive damage boost and add a shockwave for some AoE damage in a linear attack.

3 Hephaistos' Hammer

Immortal Fenyx Rising Godly Power

Probably the most visually impressive power on the roster, players get a chance to summon a huge hammer that deals serious damage while knocking back enemies. It works as a great defense breaker while maintaining distance for those enemies that like to crowd Fenyx.

Once again, players have to visit the River Styx Cistern, all for the low, low price of six Coins of Charon. The upgrades for Hephaistos' Hammer actually fall short in the way of added mechanics, with the first one simply adding a shockwave to the attack. The rest just up the power and effect of the hits, working nicely into a simple power that players don't have to plan out before using.

2 Apollo's Arrow

Fenyx Rising Godly Power

One of the most varied powers in the game, Apollo's Arrow is useful in solving puzzles and battling enemies. Giving players the power to control the path of the arrow after shooting, it will help to hit those hard to reach places Fenyx can't seem to find their way to.

Unlocking the godly power is a matter of picking up the Bow Of Odysseus, a quest that will pop up once the Bracers of Herakles are acquired. The person you saved from the Gorgon prior will need help again, leading players to a series of puzzles that need Herakles' Strength to get through. As soon as the puzzles are completed, players will reveal the bow and unlock the godly power.

Only two upgrades are available for this power, saving Fenyx's wallet and the player's time. One will give some control over the speed of the arrow and the other creates an explosion on impact, both will help Fenyx make their way through the endless puzzles to come.

1 Ares' Wrath

Fenyx Rising Godly Power

Even though Ares is the god of war, this power is focused on stunning enemies rather than raw damage. Covering a big radius with its multiple spears, Ares Wrath is best used against groups of enemies that players need a little breather to handle.

One more of the godly powers that Fenyx has to pay up for, the River Styx Cistern will greatly appreciate the six Coins of Charon. Upgrades basically buff the attack further three times, adding hits and turning the stun effect up to 10. It's definitely a power that can come in handy when crowded. Especially if the enemies are smaller, it lifts them right up off their feet and gives Fenyx some time to get to work.
