You can actually change your whole house completely. There are multiple ways you can make your house unique from other players, making your home stand out from the rest. From skins you can get for houses to the placement of your home, your house should be the first thing you start customizing.

Moving Your House

You can move your house, so it does not have to necessarily stay in the Plaza for the entirety of your playthrough. Like with any other building or structure, you can move your house and put it in any biome you want.

Perhaps you want a beach house or a winter house, the choice is yours. All you have to do is go into Furniture mode and select your house, as you would any other building, and begin moving it.

To add extra rooms, you need to enter your house, and while in the doorway, turn left onto the celestial platform. The celestial platform allows you to spend money to add a room, increase a room's size, or add another floor.

You can have up to 20 floors in your house.

The first couple of floor additions will cost 3,000-15,000 Star Coins. Around Floor 10 is where it starts to get pricey, Floor 10 costing 77,700 Star Coin.

How To Buy House Skins

Aside from moving the location of your house and changing the color, there are more options for customization. This time, however, it will cost you.

In the Premium Item Shop, you may sometimes find a house skin. They aren't cheap either, for example, you can purchase the Sweet House home for 3,750 Moonstone.

The Premium Item Shop resets every Wednesday, and house skins will always be in rotation. Instead of changing the general color of your house, you can change the entire theme by purchasing a skin from the shop.

Your player house must be fully upgraded for any Dream Style skin to appear.

To upgrade your house, interact with the Scrooge construction sign in front of your house and upgrade for some Star Coins.

So far, the Premium Item Shop has showcased Dream Style house skins such as Mike and Sulley's Apartment, Prince Eric's Ship, a Purple Cottage, a Palace, and the Sweet House. All cost anywhere from 3,000 Moonstone to 3,750 Moonstone.

To change your house from a basic recolor to one of these Dream Styles, you must access house customization in the same way.

Go into Furniture mode, select your house, and use the Replace button to see your new customization options for your house.

Moonstone

You can earn around 50 Moonstones each day. A blue chest will spawn in your valley daily. Upon opening it, you will receive some Moonstone. You may also collect Moonstone from the Star Path in exchange for the Star Path tokens you have earned.

Collecting Moonstone these ways can be very tedious since it is a small amount and most things cost a lot of Moonstone. That is why you may purchase a pack of Moonstones for actual currency.
