Marvel's Spider-Man 2 got a new trailer during a Spidey-themed panel at San Diego Comic-Con, in which we see a number of new little details including new looks for both Miles Morales and Mary Jane.

The trailer was posted by developer Insomniac Games via its official Twitter account, and it started with a new look at Miles Morales first. Those who've played previous games in the series will know that he has a shaved head in both the first game his own standalone title, whereas he has a bit more a fancy hairdo going on in Spider-Man 2. His suit is fairly similar to the red and black one from the previous game though, so no worries there.

MJ also has a brand new look for Spider-Man 2, though it's a little less drastic than Miles'. You can see her briefly in a couple of scenes in the trailer, and instead of the shorter hair tied back in a ponytail that we saw in the first game, MJ is now rocking much longer hair that goes past her shoulders. Both characters haven't changed all that much truth be told, but they do look a little different to signify the time difference between Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2.

Speaking of time differences, it was also revealed during the panel that the time gap between Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2 is around about nine months, which goes some way into explaining why both Miles and MJ are rocking new hairstyles. This means that it's been almost an entire year before Miles' first standalone adventure, and both him and Peter Parker have become a "well-oiled machine" when it comes to crime fighting.

As for the other highlights of the trailer, you can also see a brief look at Martin Li, which implies that Mr. Negative will be back in Spider-Man 2 to play a role in the story. We also got to see some new footage of other villains such as Kraven and Lizard, as well as our first proper in-game look at Venom in motion. Throw on top the little tease in the game's first trailer that Wraith may also be included in the game, and it looks like Peter and Miles could be up against it when Spider-Man 2 launches this October.
