As of Chapter 4 Season 3, plenty of new goodies have been added to Fortnite. These are usually goodies that change the way you approach combat and other aspects of the game. Epic Games always makes sure to deliver innovative content as new seasons roll in, and the Cloak Gauntlets are just one example of this.

Alongside the new Kinetic Boomerang and other items of interest, Cloak Gauntlets were added as part of the v25.10 Update for Chapter 4 Season 3. These mythic rarity items are supposed to completely change the way you play the game, making end-game fights even more thrilling. Knowing how to get and use these stealthy gauntlets isn't made clear from the get-go, which is why we're here to help.

How To Get The Cloak Gauntlets

Seeing as how the Cloak Gauntlets are classified as "mythic" rarity, you can find them as regular floor loot or simply inside chests.

As opposed to some other mythic items, the gauntlets can also be found all over the new Chapter 4 Season 3 map. You won't have to worry about looking at specific locations.

However, there is also an enhanced version of the Cloak Gauntlets that you can get by completing an additional task on the map. These are the Wildguard Relik's Cloak Gauntlets, and they can be acquired by defeating the Wildguard Relik boss. This boss is located at a new location called "Rumble Ruins".

Defeating the Wildguard Relik boss isn't a walk in the park, and he only drops it once per game, meaning that players in your match will only have one chance at getting the enhanced version of the gauntlets.

It's worth it, though, as these named cloak gauntlets offer better bonuses than the regular ones.

How To Use The Cloak Gauntlets

Invisibility Cloak in Fortnite

Before we teach you how to use them, let's cover the basics first. Activating the cloak gauntlets puts you into a nearly invisible state, allowing you to blend in with your surroundings. Your character will be somewhat outlined if you look close enough, but you'll still be very hard to spot from longer distances. This is amplified if you choose to use your surroundings to blend in.

In order to activate the Cloak Gauntlets, you have to hover over them in your inventory and then press left-click. You'll be able to move as soon as you activate them, but you can't interact with the world around you or engage in combat with other players.

If you decide to tamper with your inventory slots whilst cloaked, it will immediately uncloak you. The same applies to unequipping the gauntlets themselves.

The gauntlets are set to turn off after a certain amount of time has passed. And although you can use them infinitely, there is a cooldown timer that you'll have to wait out before you activate them again. Now, both the duration and cooldown factors are different depending on the version of Cloak Gauntlets you're using. The differences aren't huge, but they can help during intense fights. These are as follows:

Gauntlet Version

Invisibility Duration

Cooldown Timer

Cloak Gauntlets

20 seconds

30 seconds

Wildguard Relik's Cloak Gauntlets

30 seconds

20 seconds

We'd recommend defeating the Wildguard Relik boss as soon as you can; you don't want other players getting their hands on his gauntlets.

You don't even need a bush to hide anymore, just pick up these gauntlets, and you're good to go!
