Epic Games has confirmed that the price of V-Bucks in Fortnite is set to rise in the UK and Canda due to inflation, while Mexico will actually see the price decreased a little bit.

Fortnite is, without a doubt, one of the biggest games in the world, as evidenced by its many seasons and how many high-profile collaborations Epic manages to get into the game. As big as it is, Epic still needs to make some money from it, which it mainly does through players purchasing V-Bucks, the in-game currency that is used to buy skins, wraps, emotes, and more. While the price of V-Bucks has remained static for a while now, that's set to change in the next month for certain parts of the world.

Over on the official Fortnite news blog, Epic Games shared a post that reveals the new "pricing alignment" that's going to go affect Fortnite on July 17. The blog reveals that the price of V-Bucks is going to rise in the UK and Canada for the first time since the last pricing alignment went live in 2021. Meanwhile, Mexico will actually see its prices lowered.

July 2023's pricing alignment for Fortnite's V-Bucks.

The blog post reveals the new prices of a few select packs and V-Bucks bundles, which easily be compared to what they cost now to see how much they've increased. For example, in the UK, 1,000 V-Bucks used to cost £6.49 and have now been increased to £6.99, while 2,800 has risen from £15.99 to £17.49. Meanwhile, 5,000 V-Bucks will cost you £27.99 instead of £25.99 and the almighty 13,500 bundle will go for £69.99 instead of £64.99.

In Canada, 1,000 V-Bucks is going to rise from $10.99 to $11.99, while 2,800 V-Bucks will be $29.99 instead of $26.99. Similar price rises will be put in place for the 5,000 V-Bucks bundle, which is going from $42.99 to $47.99 and the 13,500 bundle, which will now be $119.99 instead of $106.79. While Canada and the UK are seeing rises, Mexico is actually seeing a decrease, with the cost of 1,000 V-Bucks going from $165 MXN to $159 MXN.

Epic states that the main reason for the price increase is "based on economic factors like inflation and currency fluctuations", and also mentions that there are several other bundles that will have their prices reevaluated when they return to the shop at a later date. These bundles include the Dark Reflections, Magma Masters, Lava Legends, Summer Legends, and the Wish, Set, Match packs.

Although all of the V-Bucks bundles and packs are getting a price rise, Epic has also confirmed that the monthly price of a Fortnite Crew subscription has remained the same as it previously was, meaning that it will still cost £9.99, $15.99, and $249 depending on where you are in the world.
