However, knowing their patterns and how they operate goes a long way in defeating them. Wilguard Relik is no different, which is why it's smart to know his patterns before you approach him. Knowing all that should make your fights with him much easier, even if you're fighting him solo.

How To Find The Wildguard Relik

Just like other bosses, Relik spawns at one of the new designated Chapter 4 Season 3 POIs.

In this case, you'll want to look for him at Rumble Ruins, which is in the jungle biome. Naturally, Rumble Ruin prompts most players to land there immediately since it's a new addition.

You should expect plenty of combat if you do decide to seek out this boss.

Relik usually roams around the main citadel area; you'll rarely see him wander too far from the main building.

If he does, then that means that he may have fought players beforehand. We wouldn't recommend engaging in a fight as soon as you land.

This doesn't only apply to him specifically, but to boss NPCs in general that are known for putting up a hefty fight.

How To Defeat The Wildguard Relik

Given how much health and shield Relik has, you won't be able to take him down quickly. The first thing to remember when initiating a fight with him is to clear the area of any rival players.

Eliminating opponents in or around Rumble Ruins will let you fight him without having to worry about attracting anyone else. You want to avoid scenarios where other players come to eliminate you and steal your hard-earned loot.

Wildguard Relik is a lone fighter in the sense that he doesn't utilize minions or any other sort of NPC/AI assistance help.

Although he fights alone, you'll still have to worry about his combat abilities. The main thing that defines Relik is his Cloak Gauntlets; these turn him invisible and allow him to teleport wherever he pleases.

Besides his Cloak Gauntlets, Relik also utilizes a Mythic MK-Alpha Assault Rifle and Wildwasp Jars.

His assault rifle packs a mean punch, and anyone standing close to him will feel the sheer amount of damage it can output.

Likewise, Relik has a tendency to throw Wildwasp Jars at his opponents. These jars are full of wasps that attack anyone close to where it was thrown.

Wildwasp Jars don't deal a lot of damage, but they can make quick work of your shield.

The best way to attack him would be with a medium or long-range weapon from a position that allows you to deal continuous damage.

His assault rifle can't do much damage at longer distances, and you can easily avoid his Wildwasp Jars if you're on higher ground or farther away.

You'll still have to watch out for his cloak and teleport abilities; Relik often uses those to get closer to you.

To see if and where he teleported, pay attention to the blue trail that appears at his last location.

Even when he cloaks, there will still be a faint outline around him. Use this outline to track him down and get some more damage in.

When you defeat Relik, he'll drop a few goodies from the new season. The most notable items he drops are his Cloak Gauntlets and the Mythic MK-Alpha Assault Rifle.

The Cloak Gauntlets give you the same type of cloaking abilities that he had. As for the MK-Alpha assault rifle - it's one of the best assault rifles in Fortnite.

Relik also drops other loot like shield potions, med-mists, wildwasp jars, and ammo. Loot like this can help you start your game better than most other players. All this loot by your side will let you dominate the new jungle biome.
